Precision Nutrition, exercise and sports nutrition coaching: My Transformational Health

What I love about CrossFit is that it empowers athletes, especially women, because they learn to do things they never imagined themselves being able to do. Doing CrossFit builds self-confidence and self-esteem and helps people realize that being strong is awesome, which translates into being happier and more self-sufficient in everyday life.

Our performance, health, and longevity are directly related to our food and lifestyle choices. As a CrossFit trainer and nutrition & health coach, I strive for two things:
First, I strive to improve athlete’s daily movement patterns in the gym as well as at home because moving well and performing movements efficiently is the key to superior performance in life. At CCCF, it is important to the coaches that the athletes are moving safely as they are learning the mechanics.
I learned a great deal after suffering a back injury years ago that took quite a long time to heal as it exposed many weaknesses in the chain through my healing process. Training around and through the injury was important to my healing, if I didn’t exercise, my body felt worse.

Second, I strive to help people be more informed on how to improve health through creating sustainable changes in lifestyle choices (food, sleep, exercise, mindfulness, and other healthy habits, etc). Each of us needs to be our own health advocate! While I love working with people to help them achieve their dietary and health goals, I take a personal interest in helping and educating those with digestive issues and autoimmune issues to understand that with food as medicine, you can live with autoimmune disease and decrease the flares and symptoms, and even put it into remission as I have. If you have a chronic illness or even just one of the many common but not normal medical issues such as diabetes, you may be able to, under the care of a doctor, reduce or eliminate medications if you get to your own personal root cause and address your lifestyle factors that may be contributing to the issue! Powerful.
