Real Coaching

Each class is instructor led. Coaches are engaged and ensuring people perform safe, technique sound movements during class. Each class starts with a movement demo and the class moves together through each segment of the class. Appropriate coaching allows for each class member to finish around the same time so no one is left behind.

Getting the help you need with nutrition and lifestyle habits to help you look and feel your best just became easier. We routinely run gym challenges and also offer individual habits based nutrition coaching to suit your needs.

We are a Member-Owned Cooperative!

We are one of only two cooperative-run gyms in the nation! This gives our gym a completely different vibe from other gyms.


Founded in 2010, Cream City CrossFit is Milwaukee's longest-running CrossFit gym. In 2015, the members decided to purchase the gym from its founder and turn it into cooperative corporation (co-op). Profits are reinvested back into the gym.

This business model also allows us to offer coaching that is second to none — our dedicated coaching staff devise innovative, results-oriented fitness programming for all of our classes. 

All in all, the community that forms around a gym that is owned by the members is pretty remarkable!

We are located in the heart of Milwaukee's Bay View neighborhood, right off Chase Ave.



What is a typical class like?

Each CrossFit class is one hour long.  We start the class with an instructor led warm-up, then proceed to either a skill practice (ex: pull-ups) and/or a strength workout (ex: back squat, deadlift, clean, bench press), followed by the WOD/MetCon (conditioning workout).  WOD-Workout of the Day. MetCon-Metabolic Conditioning


Can anyone do CrossFit and do I need to be in shape to begin?

You do not need to be in shape to begin. CrossFit is for everyone. Don’t be intimidated by what you see online or at the CrossFit games. The beauty of CrossFit is that it brings everyone together to share a common goal – to get better everyday and promote health in a positive environment.  CrossFit is essential to our masters and aging population because the health benefits and strength maintenance is so important.

Mainstream healthcare treats our elderly as fragile. We treat our masters and elderly as capable and promote strength.  In order to maintain strength and maintain independence, one needs to be able to pick up “heavy” things, move them from point A to B and get up off the floor or off the couch/toilet without difficultly. It is amazing what the body is capable of no matter what age.

Can I try a class for free?

Yes, each person can do a free trial class. Friends of members can attend a free class with a friend. Those new to CrossFit can attend our regularly scheduled On-ramp 1/Intro class for free, and those looking to change gyms or new to this area can attend any CrossFit class free  to determine if our gym family is the right fit.for them.


What do the on-ramp classes cover?

The 2-class on-ramp series covers the basic movements you will do in CrossFit classes. We focus on technique and movement so that each person is familiar with the movements in class. Each on-ramp class ends with a short workout helps demonstrate what class workouts are like.

Do you require a monthly contract?

No monthly contracts are required. Our memberships are month-to-month unless otherwise stated and can be cancelled following our cancellation policy using the cancellation form on our website.

How Much is Membership?

Membership prices vary according to the type of membership selected.
